I went to the film festival tonight.
The movie? Howl.
If youve read Howl (which i have thanks to neverthelest.tumblr.com who gave me the book for my birthday), you’ll know its a little jarring. The language is slightly coarse, the subject is unsettling to many. The film discusses this and puts images to the book.
Ten people walked out after the word cunt was said.
I found this highly closeminded of them, but to each his own i suppose.
Other highlights of the night: getting hit on by a sleazy 30-year-old indian (i have NO CLUE WHY. I DIDNT LOOK REMOTELY ATTRACTIVE TONIGHT) and seeing Dr. Kelso (of COURSE she would show up to the movie about a book of poetry)
...Why is there a large band playing the star spangled banner down the street from me?
Did we revert to independence day or something?
And did tumblr change this font? It looks much smaller.

Day 17: Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why
Emma Watson, because shes megafoxyawesomehot, has an adorable boyfriend, tons of money, goes to Brown, and shes HERMIONE.
I know i should say something like, “A person experiencing the darfur genocide so i can gain perspective on my life” or “the president so i can enact the change this country needs” or whatever.
But fuck it, im shallow and i would love to spend one day being almost perfect.
Its not lying if someone thinks youre a freshman in college and you say "no, im going into my senior year", even if it happens to be of high school, right?
